We are looking for a motivated self-managing individual to identify, engage, and close sales opportunities. The person in this role will be representing a solution that is a game-changer for the rapidly growing cannabis industry – a solution that democratizes access to a scalable testing solution. This person will report to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for achieving sales revenue targets. This candidate is professional, efficient, and energetic, with an attitude focused on customer success through scientific solutions, ideally having a successful sales track record in a disruptive technology or cannabis-related space.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales
- Achieve revenue goals by closing sales with new and existing customers
- Solicit new accounts through various means following plan and timeline outlined in plan
- Work in conjunction with sales leadership to develop and implement comprehensive sales prospecting and marketing plans for territory. Communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct lead research, build rapport, provide technical information, effectively convey value proposition
- Prepare quotations, manage follow-up, closing process and account review
- Provide awareness of OP’s superior customer solution to all prospects; our goal is to make champions of every contact, pre-sale
- Facilitate webinars, workshops, demos and training activities – remote and in-person
- Represent Orange Photonics trade shows, conferences, industry events and customer sites
- Qualify and enter prospect information via LinkPoint and Salesforce. Manage pipeline proactively within Salesforce; Prepare and present pipeline reports
- Manage account cultivation in concert with team members
Other
- Work with customers and internal technical support team in SOP and application development
- Evaluate marketplace risks and opportunities in support of product development
Skill & Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a technical sales background
- 5 or more years of experience in a similar role desired but not required
- Experience working within the cannabis industry, non-sales experience acceptable
- BA/BS in a technical or business discipline
- Self-starter, highly motivated and self-managing
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communications skills
- Conduct oneself in a professional, respectful capacity at all times
- Able to travel as needed (Up to 75%)

- FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, WV, DC, MD, DE, NY, NJ, PA, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME, OH, KY, TN, AL, MS, MI, IN, IL, WI
- Home-based position in South Eastern US or FL, NY, NJ, or PA ideally.
